This is one truly glorious day, as it may be the very dawn of a new era in motorcycle helmet manufacturing. Bell announces they'll manufacture an extremely limited lot of custom Star Carbon helmets made to fit, after scanning the actual heads of 25 lucky customers.
The event will take place at the Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca, California, September 27-29, during the eni FIM World Superbike Monterey Round. Customers must pre-order their Custom-Fit Star Carbon helmets using the online registration form, and obviously, be present at Laguna Seca.
Not only will these fortunate guys have their heads scanned and custom-molded helmets delivered on Sunday, but will also be in for a VIP treatment from Bell, meet industry leaders and riders, throughout the racing weekend.
The Bell Custom-Fit Star Carbon weighs in at 1500 grams (3.3 lbs) and comes with DOT and Snell M2010 certification. Price is $1,100 (€826).
