The Moto Company wants to give Indian customers a greater piece of mind when cruising through the vast country, and teamed up with India Assistance, a specialized road-side company. India Assistance is a company owned by Mapfre group and has a good record in providing such services.
All the registered Harley-Davidson users are eligible for the program, regardless of which official Indian dealership they got their bike from. 24X7 support and tow-trucks are ready for the H-D customers from now on, with no details whether this involves an additional fee (which we believe it 's the case).
“With the team at INDIA ASSISTANCE, we are now offering a menu of important services, 24x7 support, and trucks that can safely and efficiently tow our entire model line-up. The roadside assistance program provides a sense of safety and comfort to our customers,” Anoop Prakash, H-D India Managing Director added, according to Autocar India.
There is no word on similar services for foreign Harley-Davidson owners traveling with their bikes in India.
