As every muscle car enthusiast on the planet knows, September 14th is when the new generation Ford Mustang will break cover, in downtown Detroit, and it promises to be better than ever, without sacrificing the good-ol’ ICE.
The model’s fans can quench their thirst in the meantime by checking out the numerous spy shots and teasers. Or, better yet, take look at the renderings that have surfaced these past few months, including one that imagines the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 in different attire.

Made by Evrim Ozgun and shared on YouTube back in July, we just stumbled upon it, and it is a jaw-dropping design proposal that’s not a hypothetical take on the next-gen flagship model, but rather one based on the current Mustang. It builds on the sixth-generation pony car, which recently blew eight candles off its birthday cake, and looks like a track-ready model – if you ignore the obvious oversteering tendencies that the Mustang is known for.

Boasting advanced aero, it has a brand-new face, with reinterpreted LED headlights, big side air intakes, and sharp lines. The grille is bedecked by the ‘Shelby’ logo, and the white paint finish is contrasted by the double racing stripes in blue. Also, it has swollen fenders and displays its name on the sides. The back end is something else entirely, thanks to that massive wing. The taillights and bumper are basically an evolution of the real thing, and it rides on concave wheels with a multi-spoke design.

To make things a bit more interesting, the pixel artist has also imagined it in a different shade, which combines red for the body, with a few white accents visible at the front and rear, on the side mirror casings, and racing stripes. So, which one do you like better? For me, it would definitely be the white example.
