While Skoda is looking to develop more advanced and sophisticated cars, some of which are full-electric, there's still strong demand for cheaper models. Thus, an all-new 2022 Fabia is currently under development and could launch toward the end of the year.
The all-new Fabia has been sighted undergoing testing throughout the past few months. In our latest spy shots (see attached photo gallery), the prototype doesn't leave much to the imagination, as only small sections of the bumper and lights are camouflaged.

But the Russian website Kolesa still wanted to do a detailed set of renderings depicting the Skoda supermini as it will look going into its 4th generation. As you can probably tell, this looks like a slightly smaller version of the Scala and Octavia.

At the front, we see the new grille design, connected to a set of headlights that are slightly less rectangular than on the bigger cars. The rear, meanwhile, presents a boomerang-shaped LED element. There's nothing too interesting to look at, as the Fabia will continue to be a logical rather than emotional purchase.

We expect the engine lineup to be tiny compared to what we've seen over the past 20+ years. There won't be any RS model, and TDI looks unlikely too. It's possible that Skoda will only offer four versions of the 1.0 TSI (two power outputs combined with optional MHEV technology).

Past generations of the Fabia have used VW Polo technology that was three or four years old. Thus, the 2022 Fabia should have the track and wheelbase of the 2018 Polo, combined with a slightly taller roof and a bigger trunk. You can even spot the drum rear brakes, and the placement of the infotainment system is the same as on the Polo - integrated into the dash instead of a tablet, like on the new Skodas.

The new Fabia won't be that much cheaper than an equivalent Scala, especially when financed. But it will have something that sets it apart: the Combi wagon variant, virtually unique in this segment. However, that may take a little longer to develop.
