2022 Mitsubishi Vision Ralliart Concept Is an Outlander Dressed in Fancy Attire

Subsequent to a teaser released right before the Winter Holidays, Mitsubishi has uncovered the 2022 Vision Ralliart Concept ahead of its official premiere scheduled to take place this Friday at the Tokyo Auto Salon.

Right off the bat, we can see that it is based on the latest Mitsubishi Outlander, boasting a sportier overall design, and enhanced oily bits, according to the tuner based in the Land of the Rising Sun.

In the styling department, the Vision Ralliart Concept has a bigger shutter grille flanked by the same lighting units. The lower grille also grew in size, and the bumper is all-new. Fender flares are part of the makeover, together with the new side skirts and muscular rear bumper with a more aggressive diffuser that incorporates an F1-like third brake light.

Sporting a dark satin look and decorated by blue (when hit by light) trim, Mitsubishi’s study rides on bigger wheels, with a futuristic pattern and center locking. Behind the alloys, it has larger brake discs and uprated calipers with six pistons. Re-tuned suspension, enhanced battery capacity, and higher motor output are other novelties, the automaker states, without going into details just yet, as that information is being kept close to its chest for the grand unveiling set for later this week.

The overall impression left by the 2022 Vision Ralliart Concept is that of a heavily tuned Mitsubishi Outlander, and even if it was built for show-and-tell purposes mostly, bringing the mid-size crossover into the limelight, the car firm claims that customer feedback “will be used in future development of Mitsubishi vehicles.”

In addition to the Ralliart, they will also premiere the Kei EV Concept at the 2022 Tokyo Auto Salon. This is a tiny battery-electric model that previews a kei car, which will launch in its home market early this fiscal year (April 2022-March 2023).
