Sure, there are a lot of motorhomes out there, more than we could ever cover in a year's time. Every once in a while, however, we run across one that you just need to see.
Ladies and gentlemen, what you see in the cover photo is known simply as the Tuscany. Frankly, once you get to know this motorhome, you too might agree that it offers a lifestyle similar to that of the Tuscan Riviera. The creators behind this behemoth of a home are none other than Thor motor coach.

It's very possible you have never heard of this company, but have no doubt seen their vehicles on the road. Being around since only 2010 makes this company a rather young one, but it’s the result of a merger between Damon Motor Coach and Four Winds International, two companies with a much larger outstanding history. As you know, two heads are better than one, and this surely seems to be the case here.

As for the Tuscany, wow. Rarely will you see a vehicle like this, as not everybody has the money to afford one. However, for the next few minutes or so let's say you do have $468,600 (the starting price for the least expensive model in the lineup) and have just picked up one of the two floor plans the Tuscany offers. So, what will you be getting? Well, a whole lot of luxury and comfort. To make things a bit easier, I'm going to address the options you’ll receive in the 40RT, the model with the previously mentioned price.

One of the most important aspects whenever you go out and look to buy a motorhome, is the base vehicle. For the Tuscany, Thor is implementing the use of a Freightliner XC-R raised rail chassis. Yes, that's the same Freightliner as the 18-wheelers that haul your local goods. To top it all off, a Cummins ISL diesel engine with 8.9 l displacement pumps out 450 hp with a torque of 1,250 lb-ft (1,695 Nm), more than enough to keep this massive home on wheels moving. A GVWR of 38,600 lb (17,508 kg) allows for the possibility of an extra 15,000 lb (6,803 kg) to be hitched behind this sucker.

Like most other vehicles of this sort, a number of systems and features are there to make your trip more comfortable. Features such as electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling, safety, and waste management should be standard no matter the motor coach you buy and since the Tuscany has everything a half-million-dollar home should, be sure that none of these systems are missing. This being said, time for you to find out what else will be making you feel right at home.

Because everybody needs to eat, the kitchen is absolutely essential, especially if you plan on being on the road for some time. A recessed electric induction cook-top, stainless-steel microwave/convection oven, residential fridge with in-door ice and water dispenser, and even a full-size dishwasher hidden in a drawer that can be accessed when you need it. Solid surface countertops and large stainless-steel sink complete the rest of the kitchen. There is also plenty of storage space in the form of drawers and cabinets found through this and other spaces in the home.

In the living and dining room there's plenty of seating options and can be converted into extra sleeping areas at a moment's notice. From here, the entertainment system is also accessible and equipped with a retractable LED TV and Bluetooth sound bar. A couple more TVs are also scattered throughout the Tuscany, in total, three per floor plan.

Surely at some point you will get tired and want take a nap, so Thor threw in a pillow top king size bed with inclining mechanism, a bedspread with throw pillows, ceiling fan, USB charging ports, and plenty of storage areas. The bathroom too is just like one found in a normal home, with a porcelain toilet and large shower.

If I was to tell you that these are the absolute only options you’ll find aboard the Tuscany, I'd be lying. The fact of the matter is that there are more options available than would fit in one article. But the gallery and this text should give you a pretty good idea of what’s in store for you. Got the cash?
