The Dodge Magnum continues to rise in popularity, despite being out of production for many years. The idea of bringing back American-made wagons is popular, but so far, we've relied on renderings and custom builds to keep us going. This latest pixel work tries to turn the cool new Ram TRX into a wagon, with results that could be worthy of the Magnum badge.
The Dodge Magnum was designed by Ralph Gilles and was only in production between the 2005 and 2008 model years. That's roughly when Ram went off in search of its own adventures. In 2009, the Chrysler Group restructured the Dodge brand, and that's when we stopped calling its trucks "Dodge Ram."

Over a decade later, both brands are thriving, thanks in no small part to the use of large, powerful V8 engines. The 2021 model year marks the arrival of the Ram 1500 TRX, which mixes some serious off-road gear with the legendary Hellcat 6.2-liter supercharged motor.

So why turn this truck into a wagon? Well, the only reason why people are excited about the Magnum is the idea of having the raw performance of a Charger Hellcat sedan in a more practical wagon body. It's also an anti-statement, as crossovers have completely eaten up the family car segment.

In his latest YouTube video, car designer TheSketchMonkey successfully renders a Magnum-like wagon out of the Ram TRX. This goes nicely with the F-150-based sedan he gave us recently; by the way, some people really liked the idea of that type of Ford making a comeback.

Photoshopping the TRX into a wagon requires lowering the body and moving some fascia elements around. Luckily, the Ram truck's aggressive features, such as the scooped-out hood, work well in the context of any performance car. The digital product looks strange, more A6 Allroad than RS6, but it's definitely not generic.
