Remember when we had to turn to the big screen for zombie apocalypse footage showing pickup trucks acting as survival vehicles? Well, the story of the Ram 1500 TRX we have here brings that sort of visual adventure to Youtube, and the time has come for a drag mud race.
These days, it's become the norm for vloggers to start abusing a go-fast machine right after picking it up from the dealer. The usual shenanigans involve stuff that ranges from the break-in burnout and the delivery drag race to the insta-tuning, which sometimes leads to smoke coming out of the engine instead of the exhaust.

However, YouTuber Mike of the Street Speed 717 channel decided to pursue a steeper content production curve with this 2021 Ram 1500 TRX. Instead of delivering real-world testing or waiting for the various aftermarket goodies to show up, the hooner jumped the hell out of the truck, going way past the speed he used when engaging in a similar stunt with a Ford F-150 Raptor.

After a nose-to-ground landing, things went completely berserk. To be more specific, the Hellcat-animated bed machine was gifted with 44-inch boggers, which required eight spacers per wheel to be installed, while a DIY straight pipe setup was installed (the kind that involves removing the stock hardware with power tools). And the way in which the new hardware impacts the handling, which can be seen while the vehicle goes mud sliding, isn't the reassuring kind.

Following a bit of monster truck-style car crushing, it is now time to compare this mistreated TRX, which has been taking hits like a champ, to the factory model. And, in the spirit of the series, a race between the two was held.

The sprinting battle, which took place on a field and involved multiple runs including a TRX Launch Edition, kicks off at the 6:50 point of the clip below, not long after Mike rearranges the straps that now hold the battery in place (the factory plastic mount broke during the said landing). Is this race a fair one? Well, is anything that's happening to this vehicle fair?

In the end, this adventure follows a social media trend, namely turning a ruined performance vehicle into an extreme build (the YouTuber has already mentioned this goal for the T-Rex). However, the journey is a bit different than the usual buy-a-wrecked-one-at-an-auction stunt...
