Heavily relying on the pioneering crossover series' continued success, Nissan kicked off the teaser campaign for its third-generation Qashqai in November 2020. Since then, we have seen the popular SUV in full camouflage attire, got to check out most of the interior highlights, and even learned about its electrified powertrains.
Set to arrive on the new Alliance CMF-C architecture, Nissan’s third-generation Qashqai is said to represent a “showcase of advanced engineering, innovation and advanced technology.” After all, it has some pretty big shoes to fill as the current generation Qashqai has already surpassed one million deliveries since going on sale on the Old Continent way back in 2014.

As such, Nissan diligently prepared for the arrival of the new iteration. It sent prototypes to rack up countless miles on European roads and also enticed prospective customers with previews of the completely overhauled cabin or the electrified powertrains. As far as the latter are concerned, we’re eagerly waiting for the European introduction of the e-Power technology.

Well, the company is just about ready to lift the curtain, announcing through a (probably final) teaser the impending unveil ceremony for the all-new Qashqai that will take place on February 18th, starting from 11 a.m. CET. With so many details revealed in advance, it’s no wonder Nissan didn’t have much to say this time around about the “elegant exterior design, transformed interior and convenient features” of its crossover.

Even the photo gallery is a bit thin, with just one new angle to consider, as Nissan provided a glimpse of the front lighting setup, including the fog lights and winged design of the main cluster. There is also some accompanying footage that aims to entice us even more, and this is where things get interesting.

That’s because the interior preview also takes a look at the fully digital instrument cluster and tucked in between the circular dials for the rev counter and speedometer is the silhouette of a high-riding vehicle. So, unless we are mistaken, that’s an Easter Egg in its own right, as it may have provided an early look at the rear-end styling of the all-new generation 2021 Qashqai.
