Just as the A-Class and all the other small cars caught up with the technology race, the C-Class is jumping two design generations to give you a true luxury interior for 2021.
Pretty soon, Mercedes will make the undisputed most interesting interiors in this class. Our spies have captured the dashboard of the W206 C-Class sedan about a year before its full reveal. The dashboard alone is going to blow rivals like the Audi A4 and BMW 3 Series out of the water.

As we reported in the past few months, the new C-sedan will have the same interior layout as the bigger S-Class flagship, and we have a sneaking suspicion they will be joyed by the E-Class facelift. At this point, we can't say how much of what you see here is standard, but the dash would look cheap without that giant tablet.

As for the smaller driver's display, this seems to be about the same size as the 10-inch monitor offered in the A-Class, which means the main monitor is about 15 inches wide with a laptop-like ratio of 4:3 or 16:9.

The spyshots also show a new setup for the air conditioning, which is thankfully not controlled through the screen, as well as a new stop-start controller of some sort. There's space enough on top of the dash for a head-up display and the augmented reality systems which are inevitably coming.

Exterior styling is something also shared with the next-gen S-Class. Both have large grilles with a specific new look, narrow taillights and a muscular stance.

It's expected that the W206 C-Class will be lighter than its predecessor thanks to aluminum construction, but also longer and wider.

Right now, Mercedes is probably only working on the normal models, the majority of which will be powered by 2.0-liter turbo engines, which are ideal for both the European and American markets. The company has proven it can make a lot of power with the A45 and CLA 45, but we still hope the rumors about an AMG four-banger aren't true.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
