2021 Ford F-150 Leaked Pricing Has $30,635 Starting Point, Hybrid Is Costlier

Ford has been eager to share a lot of details about the 2021 F-150 – we already know it looks evolutionary better than its 2020 model year predecessor, has a ton (pun intended) of smarter features, comes with more power and yet manages to become even more efficient. What we did not know, exactly, was the price – the company only gave us a broad estimate during the reveal.

We might have solved this important mystery as well, though – thanks to leaked order guides uncovered by CarsDirect. The pricing seems very enticing, starting just a tad over the $30,000 mark – more precisely at $30,635 with destination for the base 2021 Ford F-150.

The 14th generation does come with a slight bump from the predecessor and remains costlier than its Chevrolet Silverado rival, according to senior pricing analyst Alex Bernstein ($195 and around $500, respectively). According to the new dealer order guide, the base 2021 Ford F-150 will be the XL trim with 4x2 traction and a Regular Cab chassis.

The current F-150 has been on sale since the prior 2015 redesign and the analyst thinks the 2021 model year could become an enticing upgrade if the pricing increase between $195 to $290 for the most affordable options becomes official. By the way, the 2020 Ram 1500 Tradesman 4x2 has a MSRP starting at $32,145 so the 2021 F-150 is closer to the Silverado than its other diehard competitor.

The 14th gen will arrive with a wide range of grades – over 40 of them and among them will be included the new electrified options. We are still waiting on Ford to give us the official economy figures but depending on the selected internal combustion engine the automaker promises up to 700 miles of combined gas-electric range.

Hybridization is available across all trims – from XL to Limited and adds a premium of $4,495 over the 3.3L V6 base option. Then you have to add $3,300 over the 2.7L EcoBoost V6 and the sum goes down to $2,500 when discussing the 5.0L V8 and 3.5L EcoBoost V6. The successful XLT SuperCrew kicks off at $42,005 (+$290), while the 4x4 is an additional $3,495 that boils down to a MSRP of $45,500.
