2021 Ford Bronco and Mustang Mach 1 Won't Be a Common Sight Because One Is RHD

Blue Oval aficionados need to be a little more patient as wonderful things are in store during the next few months. For example, the hotly anticipated 2021 Ford Bronco and the 2021 Mustang Mach 1 should become a common sight on America’s roads just a few months from now. Though, not in the exact same configuration that was recently spotted by a couple of automotive enthusiasts.

Ever since Ford started churning out pre-production prototypes of the delayed 2021 Bronco, the spotting game has become a real-life roller coaster. It seems as if the U.S. automaker has decided to compensate the patience of reservation holders with teasing sights of just about every iteration of the 2-Door and 4-Door rock crawling SUVs.

We have seen many incarnations, from a very blue First Edition to the odd “fastback” soft top Bronco (both in 2-Door and 4-Door guise), and from accessory-laden units to the mighty Warthog. Unfortunately, we've even seen some Broncos that caught fire on a trailer that was ironically named “Reliable Carriers.”

What we haven’t seen until now is a Bronco sitting idle in a parking lot next to a brand-new Mustang Mach 1. With both Ford models scheduled to arrive later in the year at dealerships, it’s easy to understand the enthusiasm of the folks behind the Detroit Drivers channel on YouTube.

They were also incredibly lucky (the entire spotting action takes place between the 0:30 and 2:05 marks) to find an interesting mix of configurations.

The 2021 Bronco is nothing surprising, as we’re dealing with a subtle 2-Door Black Diamond example dressed up in Cactus Gray. It’s the third grade down the line, starting at exactly $36,050, with the spotted light hue coming as a free of charge option.

On the other hand, sitting right next to it is a 2021 Mustang Mach 1. Ideally, a Bronco and a Mach 1 together make up a Blue Oval fan’s dream garage, but this Mustang was actually in European configuration. Even more so, it was a right-hand drive example, so we can easily imagine it was a pre-production prototype for the UK market.

By the way, the automotive enthusiasts from Detroit Drivers moved on with their business after raving about the Bronco and Mach 1. They subsequently went on their merry way to visit the Henry Ford museum and then found something else to fall in love with: an older yet untarnished Jeep Cherokee XJ. Somehow, we really think this find was also quite fitting...
