So you want to buy an average-sized German luxury coupe next year? It's a pretty strange choice, what with SUVs, the Model 3, and sports cars being so popular right now. But which would be the best choice between the new BMW 4 Series, the Audi A5, and the Mercedes C-Class Coupe?
Even if you're not into German 2-door coupes, you'll probably click on this comparison review from Carwow to see how the grille on the 4 Series compares to its rivals. We don't think it's that bad, but it all depends on the look you're after and how much you're willing to spend on options.

Speaking of money, these things look expensive to the uninitiated, yet they're pretty affordable, being based on the most popular executive compacts. Compared to a 3 Series or C-Class sedan, these coupes look elegant, but we're curious how much practicality has been lost.

Being the newest, the 4 Series has the most amount of space in the second row of seats. We've actually seen a lot of young couples using coupes like this one, and it's pleasing to see that a child seat fits easily. It's not too bad in the Audi either, while the Mercedes C-Class is the worst with bad headroom and legroom. Trunk space is also a big problem for the Merc. It seems those good looks do come at a price.

Performance is dictated by the engine you chose. You need to remember that these aren't the high-performance versions. So the C63 isn't part of the discussion. A variety of 2.0- or 3.0-liter turbo mills are offered by these German companies, some even having mild-hybrid technology. While 200 horsepower is enough for some, we feel that the M440i or the C43 are the only setups worth considering here. After all, if you want to be reasonable, why not get a sedan?

Carwow's Mat Watson says the BMW 4 Series dashboard is even better than the Audi A5, so it's got to be the winner. But coupes are a deeply personal choice, so we want to know which one you'd chose.
