Since the 2020 Toyota Supra builds on the aftermarket rep of its predecessor, it's no wonder that the Japanese sportscar was basically born to be modded, with the automaker itself admitting this.
So far, we've seen plenty of aero packages dedicated to the Supra, with these ranging from subtle mods to full widebody takes, while bagged examples are no longer something new.

As for the engine compartment, its BMW contents meant tuners had an easier start. Thus, despite the Mk V Supra having only been with us for a few months, its turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six has already been pushed north of the 600 horsepower border.

But what about the cabin? Well, I'm no Supra registry, but the adventure that brought us here is the first Mk V cabin mod I've come across to date.

And we're talking about a rollcage here. Actually, this is a half cage, since it only covers the area behind the seats.

Speaking of which, this is the kind of development many US aftermarket producers come up with for go-fast machines and we've showcased multiple examples involving GT Division Porsches. That's because the US legislation doesn't allow cages inside vehicles, considering these a hazard in case of an accident. However, you can gift your Porscha with such a goodie from the factory, provided that you order it on the other side of the pond.

Of course, this red hardware also has a strong impact on the look of the vehicle. And given the thirst for modded Supras, it's no secret that the installation has something to do with this. And we'll probably get to see more metal installations of the sort in one month from now, when the SEMA show opens its gates.
