The 2020 Toyota Supra is already among the Internet's favorite topics and it seems that the Mk V will make a transition to the big screen. That's because multiple examples of the Japanese sportscar have been spotted on the set of the upcoming Fast And Furious 9.
Filming for the next installment of the franchise includes locations such as Los Angeles (the original spot), London and Hawaii, but filming has now commenced in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.

Much to nobody's surprise, the 2020 Supra comes dressed in orange, even though the decals of the Ferrari-beating Mk IV Supra in the original F&F is nowhere in sight (who knows? perhaps this will be digitally added later on). Speaking of which, if this happens to be your fantasy, you can check out the said livery on this Mk V Supra rendering (not related to the filming).

It's likely that Toyota has supplied these vehicles and it's just as likely that some of them will be destroyed in the franchise's ever-more-spectacular stunts.

And since Fast And Furious likes its manual shifting, perhaps we'll even see the eight-speed auto of the factory Supra being ditched for a stick (here's a real-world manual swap 2020 Supra, by the way).

As for who will get behind the wheel of the Toyota Supra, one likely candidate is the character of cast newcomer John Cena.

This is the part where we need to discuss all the F&F 9 spoilers and rumors that have surfaced to date and I'll let the brilliant YouTube video below help you catch up. Note that the clip spreads all the way to the tenth installment of the franchise, which has already been confirmed. Not sure if the vid includes the latest addition to the movie, though: Guardians of the Galaxy’s Michael Rooker.

"When will we get to see the 2020 Supra doing its thing?" I hear you asking. Well, Fast & Furious 9 is scheduled to hit theaters on May 22, 2020.
