You can tell how high the level of anticipation for the Mk V Supra was by the fact that the newcomer has already been gifted with 2JZ engine swaps and plenty of body kits in the real world, along with a plethora of renderings portraying it in various eye-catching forms. And while the render that brought us here is far from the first to showcase a 2020 Supra Shooting Brake, this might be the sharpest-looking to date.
The S/B take is just one of the newfound assets of this Supra. And the others include the widebody form, along with that airflow manipulation taking place at the posterior of the Japanese sportscar.
Judging by the details coming from Yasid Oozear, the digital artist behind the pixel play we have here, it looks like he might be working on an actual kit for the Toyota.
In fact, here's what the pixel dreamer had to say: "Finally getting used to the new Z4 and giving it a special treatment, while developing a kit for it... right, the new Supra. Kit is still in some very early stage, so not much to share at the moment. Enjoy this “shooting brake” instead,"
Yasid even shared a stock Toyota Supra 3D model with us, which probably serves as a starting point for the expected body kit - Illustrator Eric Moreno Diaz modeled this in Maya Autodesk and you can check it out in the second post below.
Speaking of what happens in the real world, keep in mind that the Japanese automotive producer wasn't honest about the output numbers of the new Supra, with dyno tests showing the sportscar is actually more muscular than its maker would have you believe.
It's also nice to see Toyota has embraced the aftermarket love the Supra receives, which is built on the tuner rep of the Mk IV Supra.
