The 2020 Toyota Supra has the aftermarket world boiling, with developers across the world rushing to come up with fresh bits and pieces for the sportscar. And the latest goodies of the sort seems to be a carbon fiber wing.
"What's the big deal about this aero element?" I hear you asking. Well, we're talking about two main features that make this element worthy of our undivided attention.
First of all, this wing is styled based on the infamous aero element adorning the posterior of the Mk IV Supra, with the latter's rock-solid tuning reputation having paved the way for the Mk V modding craze mentioned in the intro.
Secondly, this toy is made of carbon and comes with a clear finish. Come to think of it, we've seen a somewhat similar development on Bahrain-based Ekanoo Racing's 2020 Supra, albeit with that using the color of the car (it could still be made of the wonder material, though).
The downforce tool comes from California-based Seibon Carbon. In fact, all we have for now is some sort of a preview and, as the customization junkies among you have figured out, we'll get the full reveal in less than one month from now, when the 2019 SEMA show opens its gates.
And since it looks like tuning lovers just can't have enough Mk IV bits on their Mk V Supras, there's always the possibility of the TRD (Toyota Racing Development) Mk IV wing being reborn in aftermarket form and perhaps we might even get to see this as the upcoming Vegas venue - you can check out this wing on a black example in the gallery above.
Of course, there are also 2020 models out there that have received widebody kits (here's one we recently discussed), but which make due without a wing and that's just fine.
