In a bit of a paradox, there's nothing wrong with an aficionado considering the twin-blade rear wing that brought us here is an exaggeration, just as the aero element itself isn't necessarily a tool of the devil. For one thing, we're dealing with a rendering, even though the fact that the wing is not real (yet) isn't the argument that helps its case.
Instead, that title goes to the fact that such wings already exist on street cars, with these being part of certain tuner subcultures that need to be accepted as part of the custom car realm. And if you're thinking about Rauh-Welt Begriff right now, you're totally right. In fact, here's a scale model of a RWB Porsche 911 that packs such a downforce device.
This pixel play comes from an aficionado nicknamed reuleaux7 and we're looking at an evolution of the digital artist's original design here.
The wing rests on a 2020 Toyota Supr that has already been virtually gifted with custom aero - the rest of the pixel work comes from flathat3D, a label whose Supra work we've featured in the past.
Now, while we're talking about the aerodynamic elements that adorn the posterior of the Mk V, we need to leave the rendering realm behind and move over to the real world.
And that's because we've recently discussed the largest 2020 Supra wing to date. Looking a bit like a samurai helmet, this goodie toured the world wide web, this being cast in the role of a splitter. Not, not the kind of aero element you'd find attached to the front apron, but rather an opinion splitter.
Then again, perhaps some of those who believed the samurai thingie is too large for the body of the 2020 Toyota Supra should check out the rendering staring at us from behind the screen.
