The new generation of the Corolla technically started with a hatchback re-branding in Europe, but it's the sedan that most people are interested in, especially in America. And we have a sneaking suspicion that when SEMA 2019 comes, these renderings will become a reality.
Many things set the 2020 Corolla apart from both its predecessor and the competition. For example, it's got the independent rear suspension that the new Jetta lacks, plus the first hybrid powertrain offered on an American Corolla.

The styling isn't bad either. We have two slightly different variations, Prestige and Sport, but both exhibit dynamism and strength in their lines. We particularly enjoy the flared out fenders and the gaping front grille.

This 2020 redesign forms the basis of several interesting renderings from Aksyonov Nikita. Starting with the most interesting, we're going to look at the Liberty Walk model.

Now, as far as we know, there hasn't been a Liberty Walk Corolla until now. But the same design, with fender flares that bolt straight into the bodywork, is seen on the Corolla hatchback drift car and can be replicated by many other companies, the most notable of which is Rocket Bunny.

Aksyonov also added quad exhausts and numerous other aero elements. Next up, we have the Corolla 2-door Coupe, which would be a rival for the Honda Civic Coupe. It too has the boy racer look, thanks to the blue wheels contrasting with yellow paint and a gigantic bolt-on trunk wing. It would make a great Celica successor, but we know Toyota isn't in the mood to offer one of those.

And finally, we have the Corolla SS Edition, which reminds us of the warmed up sports sedans like the Civic Si or Elantra Sport. It's got even better styling and an in-your-face central exhaust pipe. That's something we fully back, but Toyota doesn't seem to have the right kind of engine for this job.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
