All trim levels (S, SE, SE Technology, SE L, Sportline Plus, Laurin & Klement) feature lots of standard equipment, including LED headlights and taillights, seven airbags, touchscreen infotainment, voice, control, DAB, and SmartLink+ smartphone connectivity. The Superb Estate is £1,320 more expensive than the five-door liftback sedan.

Power outputs start with 120 PS for the 1.6 TDI, and at the other end of the spectrum, the 2.0 TSI develops 272 PS on full song. All-wheel drive and the seven-speed DSG are also available on select models. The1.5 TSI with 150 PS and 2.0 TDI with 150 PS will be introduced towards the end of the year, and in 2020, a plug-in hybrid will be introduced.

The PHEV combines the 1.4 TSI with an 85-kW electric motor, translating to 218 PS in terms of combined output. Marketed as the Superb iV, this model promises fewer than 40 grams of CO2 emissions per kilometer and an electric range of up to 34 miles thanks to the 13-kWh battery.

In regard to trunk capacity, the hatch boasts 625 liters while the wagon levels up to 660 liters. As opposed to the entry-level S, the SE adds dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, electrically folding mirrors with spot lighting, 17-inch alloy wheels, Adaptive Cruise Control, Light Assistant, and driver fatigue monitoring.

Customers in the market for the Laurin & Klement can expect to pony up £35,240 at the very least, and the flagship features 18-inch Propus Aero anthracite alloy wheels, perforated leather upholstery, ventilated seats up front, a heated windshield and steering wheel, the whole nine yards. In other words, it’s the best that Skoda can offer in this segment.
