Starting off with the light-duty lineup, the Ram 1500 gains the Rebel Black and Night Edition for the 2020 model year. The latter is exclusive to the Big Horn and Laramie trim levels, improving the visual drama with black paint on the wheels, grille, and badging.
The Night Edition rides on 20-inch wheels for the Big Horn and 22 inches in the case of the Laramie, and even the exhaust tips and black to bring the point home. Of course, the headlamps and taillights also feature dark bezels for an overall ominous exterior appearance.

Moving on to the Rebel Black, this package returns for 2020 with Black Crystal Pearl Coat paintwork, 18-inch wheels painted in black, and a theme-matched interior. Customers are also offered the choice of a Ruby Red interior, available as an optional extra. But wait, there’s more! The Rebel Safety Group is also available, adding adaptive cruise control with stop, go, and hold in addition to many more driver-assist features.

The Comfort Package is now standard equipment on the Rebel, and at the other end of the spectrum, the work-ready Tradesman can be optioned with blind-spot monitoring for additional safety. Three new colors are available for the 2020 model year, namely RV Match Walnut Brown, Hydro Blue, and Olive Green.

“Buyers demand a good-looking truck with easy-to-use features. They often tell us that their Ram trucks are an extension of their personality and want to stand out from the crowd,” declared head honcho Reid Bigland. “Whether it’s the off-road-enthusiast appeal of the Ram 1500 Rebel, the stylish Night Editions or greater usability for the most powerful, most capable heavy-duty trucks, Ram trucks deliver features and durability that are winning over more and more buyers.”

Now available with the third generation of the EcoDiesel V6, the 1500 levels up to America’s most powerful half-ton diesel pickup thanks to 480 pound-feet of torque. Unsurprising to anyone, the towing capability also happens to be class-leading thanks to a rating of 12,560 pounds with the proper towing equipment.

Higher up, the 2020 Ram HD is now available with Lane Keep Assist and Adaptive Steering on all trim levels. A 50-gallon fuel tank is standard on Crew Cab trucks with the eight-foot bed, black wheels have been introduced to the Power Wagon, and as with the half-tonner, two new bodywork colors are offered in the guise of Hydro Blue and Olive Green.
