The aftermarket industry now has more traction than ever and with the Porsche 911 being one of its favorite children, it's no wonder that we can already talk about the first customized example of the 992 generation.
Then again, since the 2020 Neunelfer still hasn't exited the Los Angeles Auto Show (deliveries kick off in mid-2019), all we have for now is a pair of renderings.
Even so, these pixel plays, which portray the 8th-generation Porsche 911 wearing custom shoes, comes from specialist HRE wheels, featuring rims that should actually be available for the sportscar.
The specialist delivered two different finishes, in an attempt to please as many tuning aficionados as possible. And with the 2020 Porsche 911 configurator showing at least two new colors, we can't wait to see what combos show up on the street next year.
Meanwhile, we'll remind you that we can already look forward to new versions of the 992 Porscha. For instance, the 2020 911 Turbo is now in an advanced testing stage.
The Turbo is expected to ditch its current TT 3.8-liter flat-six in favor of an all-new unit. As for the Turbo S, this could become the Turbo S E-Hybrid, as it has been the case with the Panamera and the Cayenne. However, while Zuffenhausen has confirmed the hybridisation of the 992, no details have been offered.
Then there's the 992 Porsche 911 GT3. Prototypes have showcased the massive aero elements of the newcomer, which makes us expect stunning chronograph numbers.
And, thanks to test cars, we've also been able to notice that the newcomer will maintain both the naturally aspirated engine and the optional manual tranny, so purists (and everybody else) have plenty of reasons to jump for joy.
Both the new GT3 and the new Turbo should be introduced in the second half of next year, but not before the standard Carrera models land.
