Imagine telling your friends about your intentions of getting a full body tattoo - in the case of most people, their reaction would be obvious. However, these days, that tattoo might not be for one's body, but rather for what aficionados believe to be an extension of it, namely one's automobile. And the 992 Porsche 911 certainly fits this description, with the connection sitting in its driving experience.
Of course, we're not discussing this on a theoretical level. Instead, we're here to gaze at a 2020 Porsche 911 that has been gifted with a tattoo that occupies most of its body.

Now, before moving any further into the tale, I have to stress out the fact that we're dealing with a rendering. So yes, should the owner decide to lose these colors, this will be considerably easier to remove than an actual ink job.

The second skin of the Zuffenhausen machine has been designed by Timo Wuerz, with the artist using details borrowed from the work of tattoo artist Anastasia Rice - you can check out her real-world tattoos in the Instagram post below.

According to ink lovers, we're looking at a neo-traditional style that builds on the assets of the traditional American tattoo style.

Signal Design is the specialist that handled the wrap, so we can talk about an all-German adventure here, from the rear-engined machine itself to the customization process.

Tattoo wraps might just be a trend these days, so we should have further occasions to discuss this. Meanwhile, you can check out the immersive appearance of this 911 in the images above.

And with multiple 992 derivatives preparing to make their debut, who knows what owners will do in the constant race for individuality? Perhaps we'll get to see tattoo wraps convering future models such as the 911 Turbo, the 911 GT3 and the 911 Targa.
