Now that the Frankfurt Motor Show has brought us the 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 and Carrera 4 Cabriolet (the all-paw versions of the base Neunelfer), the 992 family has grown to eight members. And, as you'll notice in the live image gallery above, Zuffenhausen has chosen White as the launch color for the fresh arrival.
Going past the AWD nature of the newcomer, we find an identical tech package. As such, the twin-turbo 3.0-liter flat-six still delivers 385 hp, while the 0 to 62 mph sprint (also unchanged) sits at 4.0 seconds with Sport Chrono (not ticking this option adds 0.2 seconds to the task), or 4.2 seconds if you're performing this in the Convertible.

Based on the driving impressions delivered by the 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S, the RWD model continues to deliver a purer experience and is remarkably stable. As for the "4", the AWD versions is a choice for those who want extra peace of mind when the road is no longer clear.

Adding another pair of driven wheels to your base Carrera means the MSRP jumps $7,300 to $104,700 for the Coupe and $117,500 for the open-top model. So yes, the standard Carrera (RWD) remains the only 992 Neunelfer whose pricing kicks off below the $100,000 point.

If you're looking to add such a toy to your garage, you won't have too much waiting to do, as customer deliveries are scheduled to kick off next month.

Meanwhile, keep in mind that multiple spiced-up incarnations of the eighth-generation 911 are in the pipeline.

For instance, the Turbo and Turbo Cabriolet should debut by the end of the year, while 2020 is expected to bring us the 992 GT3. It looks like the German automotive producer is prepared to offer the Touring Package from the get-go, at lest judging by the spy material we've featured.

Then there's the 992 Porsche 911 Targa, which may or may not debut next year (here are some spyshots of the open-air special) - keep in mind that the wildest rumors out there talk about the return of the Turbo Targa.
