Aimed at the “young, affluent, fun-seeking individual,” the three-door utility vehicle will be available with seating for five or six. The Defender 110 levels up to seven seats, but Land Rover won’t stop here. Listed for the 2021 model year on the Disco 4 forums, the Defender 130 will be suitable for up to eight occupants.

Engine options? The D200, D240, and D300 serve as the entry-level powerplants, all of them fueled with diesel. The four-cylinder P300 and inline-six P400 are up next, followed closely by the P400e with plug-in hybrid assistance. Also called P400e in the case of the Range Rover Sport, the fuel-efficient powertrain combines the 2.0-liter Ingenium turbo with an electric motor and 13.1-kWh battery pack.

Trim levels number five options, namely the Standard, S, SE, HSE, and X-Dynamic. Equipment that comes as standard includes LED headlights with DRLs and rear fog lamps, power-adjustable side mirrors, a 10-inch touchscreen and 7-inch central TFT for the instrument cluster, and fabric upholstery on the seats.

Higher up the spectrum, Land Rover treats the Defender to Matrix LED headlights, auto high-beam assist, memory function for the mirrors and seats, and a 740-watt Meridian surround sound system. In regard to dimensions, the lengths of the three body styles range from 4,323 millimeters to 5,100 millimeters.

The Defender 110 will be introduced first in October 2019, followed by the Defender 90 in March 2020 and Defender 130 in August 2020. Interestingly enough, the Defender 130 features the same wheelbase (3,022 millimeters) as the Defender 110.

Given these details, are you looking forward to the all-new, unibody Defender or would you prefer something more serious in off-road situations? The body-on-frame Jeep Wrangler Unlimited comes to mind, especially in Rubicon flavor.
