We constantly keep an eye on the prototype testing that goes on at the Nurburgring and, among others, this kind of activity sometimes leads to extreme chases involving the test cars. Well, the run we're here to showcase is a bit different, since it involves a BMW M4 CS (nothing special so far) and a... 2020 Kia Soul.
Now, the piece of footage at the bottom of the page, which is focused on the third-generation Soul's testing, does include a sequence that allows us to enjoy the hilarious chase.
And, given the configuration of the Green Hell, we can tell you that the Clubsport incarnation of the M4 didn't exactly have an easy time in its inevitable task of passing the South Korean crossover.
Now, since the BMW M4 CS has no secrets anymore, those of you willing to indulge in Bavarian pleasures might want to check out this rendering. The pixel play portrays the next-generation M4, being based on the styling cues of the recent 2019 BMW 3 Series.
As for the 2020 Kia Soul, the crossover is expected to land later this month, at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
A sister car to the well-received Hyundai Kona, the upcoming Kia might one-up its sibling. For instance, one of the two versions of the 2020 Kia Soul EV is expected to come with a range of around 300 miles (485 kilometers). The machine, which will use a 60 kWh battery package, should deliver 201 horsepower. However, there will also be a lower model, with this set to use a 34 kWh battery.
The third-gen Soul will obviously also use conventional powertrains. Customers will be able to choose between a naturally aspirated two-liter and a turbocharged 1.6-liter, with both packing four cylinders.
Kia is set to introduce the 2020 Soul as a global model, with the US market debut expected to take place early next year.
