American carmaker Jeep is beginning its autumn offensive with the launch of two new special editions for the 2020 Wrangler. Both are already available for order and come with unique appointments compared to the stock version.
The two special editions are the Willys and Black & Tan, and both are offered for the Wrangler Sport S as a means to increase the appeal of the car, as Jeep's head Jim Morrison says.
"Special editions are a perfect way for Jeep to connect with customers and feed their ideas and passion into the brand and its vehicles," he said in a statement.
"We are proud that both new models will add to the wide appeal Jeep Wrangler already offers."
Willys is a well-known name among Jeep fans, and it has been used before to designate special versions of the off-roader. This time, the novelties it brings are for the first time featured on the new generation of the model.
Willys adds on top of the regular Wrangler S things like limited-slip rear differential, Rubicon rock rails and shocks, heavy-duty brakes, and 32-inch Firestone mud-terrain tires.
Design-wise, the car was given a rugged appearance, with a Willys hood decal, black 17-inch aluminum wheels with gray pad print, and a gloss black sport grille. Ten colors are on the table when it comes to exterior paint.
The Jeep Wrangler Willys sells for $33,740 for the two-door model and $37,240 for the four-door version.
The Black & Tan, also available for the first time on the 2020 Wrangler, brings mostly visual changes. They include 17-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, side steps, low gloss badging and a tan soft top.
At the interior, the special appointments start with the Wizard Black painted instrument panel, continues with the Heritage Tan cloth seats, and ends with a 7-inch driver's display screen and dual-zone climate control,
For the Wrangler Black & Tan Jeep charges $32,940 for the two-door model and an MSRP of $36,440 for the four-door version.
