Introduced in 2011 at the Bangkok Motor Show, the Colorado keeps on keeping on for the 2020 model year. Holden didn’t do much for the latest incarnation of the mid-size pickup truck, which is now available as the LSX.
Slotted between the LT and LTZ, the LSX comes with Colorado decals, black fender flares and sports bar, 18-inch Arsenal Grey wheels, a soft tonneau cover, tailgate lock, and digital radio. Exclusive with four-wheel drive, the LSX can be had with either a manual or six-speed automatic transmission.

Previously offered as a limited edition, the LSX is bettered by the Z71 and LTZ in terms of standard equipment. The DuraGuard spray-in bed liner is now included in the price, promising to reduce slipping and increase durability. The Z71 is the go-to Colorado for off-road enthusiasts, featuring underbody protection and a soft-drop tailgate.

The LTZ Crew Cab is treated to front-row heating and leather upholstery as standard, and the LTZ+ is available with under 1,000 kilograms of payload rating. In other words, the LTZ+ trim level “is now accessible to customers seeking to acquire a Colorado via novated leasing.”

Through research into customer preferences, Holden decided to introduce a number of accessory packages for the 2020 Colorado. The list starts with the Tradie, which includes a towing package, roof tray, side and rear steps, 12-volt auxiliary power, weather shields, a hood protector, and floor mats.

Farmer, Black, Rig, and Xtreme are the four remaining packages, and the latter is the one to choose if you’re into serious off-road driving. In regard to pricing, the LS 4x2 Single Cab Chassis retails at 31,690 dollars in Australia while the Z71 4x4 Crew Cab tops at 57,190 dollars.

Every trim level comes standard with the 2.8-liter Duramax turbo diesel, a four-cylinder that’s good for 147 kW (200 PS; 197 horsepower) out of the box. If the displacement of the engine sounds familiar, that’s because the Duramax is also available in the United States in the Chevrolet Colorado mid-size pickup truck.
