It's been almost a month since the order books for the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 were opened. However, we still have a bit of waiting before we get to check out the new kid on the muscle block doing its thing on the street.
And since the Internet doesn't like to be kept waiting, it has come up with a rendering that uses the S550 GT500 as a starting point.

It's simple - the pixel play adds a pair of doors to the 'Stang, thus making those 760 horsepower of the machine truly available to the whole family (pixel tip to Carnewsnetwork for this image).

Is such an idea wrong from the very beginning? Will the Blue Oval ever bring such a super-sedan to life? Are cats going to rule the world one day?

We can only answe the said questions one by one, so let's begin. The concept of adding a pair of doors doesn't appear wrong to me, albeit only if the original coupe is kept in dealerships.

Heck, a Mustang "sedan" would certainly be a purer offering compared to the upcoming Mustang-inspired electric crossover. In fact, the development of the latter is one of the reasons for which Ford won't come up with a proposal such as the one we have here anytime soon.

Of course, not everybody will agree. After all, there are aficioandos out there who still complain about the number of doors on the Dodge Charger, even though this has been gifted with goodies such as a Hellcat motor and a widebody. Sadly, this can sometime lead to confusion, which is how we end up with odd contraptions like this.

Oh, and when it comes to felines dominating the planet, my opinion is biased (read: I am owned by a cat), so I'll refrain from making further comments.
