Forgiato wheels are about as common as iPhones and sometimes just as extravagantly colored. The California-based company has a firm grasp on what Americans want, and right now, that's a mid-engined Corvette.
Seemingly out of nowhere, Forgiato has posted a couple of shots of the all-American "supercar" riding on a set of their alloys. While we've shown many tuning projects with custom wheels for this car, they were all rendered.

This looks real, though, from the shadow of the car to surroundings reflected in the paint. However, we have trouble believing Chevrolet allowed this to happen just days after releasing order guides and such. And the level of detail on the wheels seems much higher than the rest of the image. What do you guys think, is this fake or not?

But let's get back to the wheels. This particular design is called TEC 3.14, released just three weeks ago and so far not fitted to any other car, and that's also kind of fishy. It's a multi-spoke design with a lot of sharp edges, which sounds perfect for a supercar-style body. However, it seems to overpower the clean lines of the Corvette. Or maybe it's the candy blue lip.

Regardless, Forgiato alloys rarely strike you as being "good taste." They clash, and that's the way the owners like them. We can see that making sense on a lifted Escalade or Lamborghini Urus, but Corvette owners are not traditionally like this.

They're famously quite old and like to invest in good tires and retirement plans. That was that one guy in 2015 who had a gold C7 Vette on Forgiato wheels, but he's the exception.

Which brings us nicely to our last point, which is that Forgiato occasionally makes auto parts too. They're famous for the chrome grilles with the big F on them and only time will tell if the C8 will get a chintzy look or not.
