Dodge has an easy job in the muscle car scene; there are no other boxy American destroyers with over 700 horsepower. However, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk cannot corner the market on chunky SUVs with powerful engines.
We've seen our fair share of Trackhawk drag races since the Hellcat-powered Grand Cherokee came out. It's gone up against literally every rival possible, from Tesla to AMG and Range Rover. However, BMW just put out new X5 and X6 M models.

While the Trackhawk has "track" in its name, you've to give credit where it's due. BMW is one of the first companies to recognize the "need" for track-capable SUVs with a powerful V8. But we're not here for some lap times. Instead, this is all about the savagery of racing in the real world.

But first, some specs. The Trackhawk is the only one here with a supercharger. Its 6.2-liter V8 is also larger than its rivals, and so is the 707 horsepower output.

Meanwhile, this new X6 M uses a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8, just like its predecessor. The output has been increased to 592 horsepower and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque while the Competition model bumps the first figure up to 617 hp. We figure we're dealing with is the base $108,600 configuration, not the more expensive Competition. For the record, the X6 M is about 50 pounds lighter than the X5 version of the car.

But you can't have an SUV drag race without the king of the hill, a Lamborghini Urus. Despite having the smallest V8 here, a 4.0-liter, this Italian stallion boasts 641 horsepower and has fantastic launches, which is more than you can say about the Trackhawk.

The race from Mod2Fame (a Hellcat-centric channel) starts out with three rolling races where the Trackhawk slowly gains ground. Then we get a real drag race with surprising results.
