2020 Bentley Flying Spur Checks into Russian Hotel Room for Local Premiere

Back in June, British luxury carmaker Bentley introduced the new Flying Spur, the most technically advanced and luxurious car in this range. For some, that introduction was a dull one, made only with the release of a press statement and a bunch of photos.

The Russian rich folk, for instance, need much more than an online presentation to be impressed. This is why Bentley took the car it hopes will impress oligarchs to Moscow, and got it inside of a 3-star hotel called Tverskaya Residence.

That’s right, the Brits took the car all the way up to room 100 of the hotel and got it inside to be shown to the locals. There, for a limited time, the people invited to the room were treated with a “private screening of the most immaculate and luxurious sports sedan.”

“We are excited and confident that the Flying Spur will impress Russian customers,” said in a statement Christian Schlick, Bentley Russia’s top man.

“This luxurious and dynamic sports sedan is a touchstone of elegance and quality associated with Bentley for 100 years.”

Fitted with more luxurious items than some see in a lifetime, the new Flying Spur hopes to build on the success of the original Continental Flying Spur and mark the entrance of the brand in its second century with style.

Unique appointments like single and dual veneer wood and three-dimensional, diamond-quilted leather on the interior of the doors are just a few examples of the means used by the Brits to win over the next generation of customers.

At the heart of the Spur sits a 6.0-liter engine in W12 configuration paired to the same 8-speed ZF dual-clutch transmission used on the Continental GT.

The engine is rated at an output of 635 ps and 900 Nm of torque and provides the car with a zero to sixty acceleration time of 3.8 seconds.

The 2020 Bentley Flying Spur becomes available for order this fall and deliveries begin in early 2020.
