2020 Audi RS6 on Gold HRE Wheels Looks Badass

To those who were keeping an eye on the 2020 Audi RS6 development, the brutish appeal of the super-wagon didn't come as a total surprise. For instance, when we heard the prototype filling up the woods around the Nurburgring with its V8 roar, it became clear that Audi is working the aggression dial for the new generation.

Of course, now that the new RS6 has been introduced, were were all left staring at its gaping intakes and doing the slow clap.

It was no secret that the now-old RS6 packed a monstrous go-fast potential, which is why the family car was present at multiple drag racing events and Audi now has come to reclaim the land that was occupied by tuners installing body kits on the vehicle.

Of course, the aftermarket side of the industry will continue to do what it does best and I have to inform you that the assault has already begun.

For instance, I've brought along a set of renderings that portray the 2020 Audi RS6 on custom wheels. The pixel play, which is portraying in the Instagram post at the bottom of the page, shows the sexy estate (call it Avant, if you wish) on three different rims designs, with all coming from the collection of HRE Wheels.

As such, you should make use of the said post's swipe feature, so you get to check out the complete eye candy.

On the tech front, the 600 PS (592-hp) and 800 Nm of torque (590 lb-ft) delivered by the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 allow the wagon to complete the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in 3.6 seconds - it was not that long ago when such a time came from the R8 V10 Plus.

Top speed sits at either 250 km/h (155mph), but this can be lifted to 280 km/h (174 mph) with the Dynamic package or to 305 km/h (190 mph) with the new Dynamic Package Plus.

And while the standard air suspension can lower the car by 10mm or raise it by 20mm, you can always opt for the RS Sports Suspension Plus, which brings steel springs, along with active dampers and anti-roll control.

Tuning fans need not worry, though - once again, the new tech possibilities won't keep aftermarket developers at bay. And now that the 2020 Audi RS6 is also offered in the US (this is only the second model to make it across the pond), there will be a whole world of customisation possibilieis out there.
