2019 Triumph Rocket 3 TFC Full Specs Confirmed, Bike Sold Out in North America

At the beginning of the year, UK’s largest motorcycle manufacturer announced the launch of the Rocket 3 TFC bike, fitted with the largest engine currently available on the market. Just a few months have passed since, and Triumph announced the production run allotted for the North American market is sold out.

Granted, the number of motorcycles reserved for the continent is not at all that big, only 750 units being prepared to be shipped across the ocean. But given the fact that the bike’s official performance numbers were not completely known at the time, having orders for all of them is impressive.

“The customer response to this ultra-exclusive, ultra-premium motorcycle has been overwhelming, with deposits pouring in from around the world the moment the bike was first revealed back in January,” Triumph said in a statement.

“In the North American market we have seen an extremely high interest, with demand quickly surpassing the number allocated. The result has been the Rocket 3 TFC selling out with all available U.S. and Canadian models now fully committed.”

Taking advantage of this announcement, Triumph said it completed final homologation and the performance figures for the machine are in.

The 2,500 cc engine, considerably bigger than the previous 2,294 cc version, develops 180 hp at 7,000 rpm and 166 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm. Those numbers make the Rocket 3 the most powerful production Triumph ever made.

Pairing those figures with the lighter overall weight – the Rocket is 44 kg lighter compared to the previous generation, tipping the scale at 639 pounds, or 290 kg – should result in incredible thrills for riders.

Visually, the Rocket got upgraded with the inclusion of LED headlights, single-sided swinging arm and a carbon fiber body.

The motorcycle also got a boost by being fitted with a new set of TFT instruments, cornering ABS and Traction Control, four riding modes and Shift Assist.

In the U.S., the TFC sells from $29,000.
