Deliveries of the car for those buying one are expected to begin in February next year. It will be available in two configurations, the manual one mentioned above and a six-speed automatic EDC-equipped model that will retail from £33,510.

In mainland Europe, the car is far more expensive, selling for more than the simple equivalent of the price in British pounds. The dual-clutch version, for instance, sells on the Old Continent for €45,900.

Regardless of the model chosen or the market it’s meant for, under the hood of the car sits a new 1.8-liter engine, the same as in the RS version, but tweaked to have an output of 300 hp and 420 Nm of torque.

Renault promises the increase in power and torque comes with better acceleration, including at high revs, while at the same time complying with the Euro 6d-Temp that came into force in Europe in September.

Under the car lies a Cup chassis that comes complete with newly-calibrated Torsen mechanical limited slip differential, firmer shock absorbers, tighter springs, and stiffer anti-roll bars. Braking power comes from lightweight 355mm front brake discs.

Visually, the Megane RS Trophy has been made to stand out of the crowd by the addition of Trophy decal added to the F1-style front bumper blade and specific 19-inch alloy wheels with a design inspired by the Renault Sport R.S.01 concept car.

Unfortunately, the Recaro seats, similar to the ones used on the Megane III RS, only coms as an option for the Trophy.

You can have a look at all the things that make up the new Renault Megane RS Trophy in the document attached below.
