Just when you thought Instagram turned every possible vehicle into a lower-rider, rendering artists realized pickup trucks were a thing. After making waves with his Nissan GT-R truck about a week ago, Hugo Silva is back with a slammed Ram 1500.
Why the Ram 1500? We don't know. The Ford Raptor may be one cool sports truck, but there's a million of them out there with custom wheels and all sorts of suspension work. The Ram community, meanwhile, likes to keep things clean.

The 2019 Ram 1500 has been dubbed the Mercedes S-Class of pickups. And while there is such a thing as the X-Class in Europe, we agree that the former Dodge has it licked for luxury, performance, and presence.

Upon brushing up on our knowledge of the new Ram truck, we realized that there is indeed a bit of sports car hidden under all that ruggedness. The 5th all-new generation is about 220 lbs lighter than last year, but it's also bigger by 4 inches to improve space and stability. Wheel sizes go all the way up to 22 inches, and like a Porsche 911, this has a variety of versions to suit every taste. There's the rugged Rebel, the value-packed Limited or the Laramie for ultra-rich cowboys.

Hugo Silva's rendering obviously takes the design in a direction very few owners want. It slammed the body right down to the ground in a way that would probably require some custom suspension arms. Also, the fenders have been blown out to make room for even larger wheels.

Can you make a sports version? Ram probably could and will. There's already a HEMI V8 under the hood, so squeezing in a Hellcat supercharged system probably wouldn't be too much work. Watch out Raptor, big daddy T-Rex is on his way, and he's not amused by your puny V6.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
