2019 Porsche Cayenne Spotted on German Autobahn, Looks Focused

If it seems a bit early for the uber-fresh 2019 Porsche Cayenne to be spotted on the road, you should know that the Zuffenhausen SUV we're looking at is a Porsche-owned vehicle.

It's not unusual for carmakers to continue testing new models after the official unveiling and this seems to be the case with the German Autobahn-driven model we have here.

Nevertheless, seeing this Cayenne in the real world only increased our anticipation for getting up close and personal with the Turbo incarnation of the model, which has bowed in Frankfurt last week.

From the 3.9-second 0 to 60 mph sprint to the active rear spoiler, a first in the SUV realm, the newcomer has plenty of go-fast tricks to deliver.

Now, the YouTuber behind this piece of spy footage wasn't sure whether the SUV we have here is the 2019 Cayenne or the 2019 Macan facelift, so you shouldn't get lost in the title of the clip.

Speaking of the mid-cycle revamp for Zuffenhausen's smaller high-riding model, most of the subtle styling changes that are set to be delivered by the facelift are still covered in camouflage.

However, as we mentioned when bringing you spyshots of the 2019 Macan, the camouflage covering the rear section of the vehicle hints at light clusters that are connected by a bar.

Truth be told, it would be odd not to see the refreshed Macan receiving such a feature, now that the rest of the German automotive producer's four-door lineup comes in this form.

In terms of performance, we're curious about what the German engineers are planning for the Performance Package-gifted Macan Turbo.

And that's because the outgoing model, with its 440 horses, has to face 510 hp animals such as the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio or the Mercedes-AMG GLC63 S, with the latter also being offered in Coupe form. Oh, and let's not forget the spied Jaguar F-Pace SVR, which is almost ready to step out of the oven.
