This new unit will be paired to the EQ Boost system as well, meaning it gets a temporary boost in power of 22 hp and 250 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with 9G Speedshift transmission.
Together with the introduction of the new model, Mercedes also released the pricing information for the 4-Door Coupe and said that sales of the model have begun.
The entry-level GT announced on Monday will be sell in Europe for 95,259 Euros. It will be followed in the catalog by the GT 53 4MATIC+ that uses a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six capable of developing 435 hp. This model will sell for 109,182 Euros.
Pricing for the top of the range GT 63 and its even more powerful S variant was announced earlier this year, and is significantly higher than for the entry-level.
The two top versions will be powered by a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 that in the 63 will pump out 585 hp and 800 Nm of torque on the 63. On the even more tweaked S variant, that output increase to 639 hp and 900 Nm of torque.
The 63 sells for 150,118 Euros, while the S goes up to 167,016 Euros. Mercedes will also be offering an Edition 1 package for the cars manufactured over the next year. To be offered only on the S version, this package will increase the price of the car to 185,342 Euros.
