2019 Genesis G70 Pricing Announced, Starts from $34,900

2019 Genesis G70 Pricing Announced, Starts from $34,900 1 photo
The Genesis G70 wants to compete with German sedans that have three or four decades of heritage. Not surprisingly, it tries to do everything right, including price.
Arriving as a 2019 model year, the G70 starts from $34,900, or $35,895 if you want to include the destination and handling. This base version and most of the others get all the power you need from a 2-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder making 252 horsepower.

The back wheels are mostly responsible for shoving the compact executive forwards, with AWD being available, but you probably didn't expect a 6-speed manual gearbox. Yes, Genesis says that's what some of its customers want, so they are offering one in addition to the eight-speed auto.

The manual is only available on one trim level called 2.0T Sport, which starts from $37,900 and comes with a limited slip diff plus summer tires. The normal model is called G70 Advanced, and it comes pretty nicely equipped: seats, wheel, and shifter trimmed in leather, 8-inch infotainment, alloys and even some safety tech.

Adding AWD is a $2,000 option which also includes a heated steering wheel. You can even go for the more powerful 3.3-liter turbo engine in RWD ($43,750) or AWD forms ($45,750). The engine makes 365 horsepower and comes bundles with LED lights, sports suspension Brembo brakes, dual exhaust

However, we're sure everybody will want at least the G70 Elite, which includes parking sensors, power-folding mirrors, a Lexicon 15-speaker audio system, ventilated and heated seats, navigation, a sunroof, power folding mirrors, a power tilt wheel, and full LED headlights. It's yours from $39,900.

Finally, there's a bunch of special edition stuff going on. The G70 Design Edition comes with an exclusive Forest Green exterior color paired with a cream interior and is based on the 3.3T Prestige trim. It's yours for $48,750 ($50,750 with AWD).

There's also the Dynamic Edition costing $50,250 with features like Michelin Pilot Sport 4S summer tires, better brake pads, and suspension tuning. Both versions are limited to 400 units each and available for a year, like Mercedes-Benz's Edition 1.
