It seems BMW really can't keep a lid on the new Z4 roadster. And with how exciting it looks, we're not surprised.
After three shots completely revealed its design, we have another leak, this time consisting of official photos that BMW shot. Yeah, it still looks super-cool!

Despite a growing midsection and back pains, any SUV owner will feel like a kid again upon glancing on this new BMW Z4. It has that essential roadster quality of looking phallic and sporty, yet still obtainable. This is a far better mid-life crisis than the Alfa Romeo 4C or a Porsche Boxster.

Design-wise, we're still dealing with a Z4 M40i, as hinted by the large alloys, square exhausts, blue brakes and aggressive body kit. With up to 380 horsepower, it comes pretty close to deserving that M badge.

A frozen orange paint appears for the first time on this car, most likely a launch edition which costs extra. A couple of shots of the interior are also available. The first shows the new digital cluster, which honestly looks more versatile than the one in the 5 Series. It's got a de-cluttered map in the middle, flanked by useful information.

The main infotainment touchscreen is integrated into the dash, below which we see familiar controllers and even room for a wireless phone charger. It looks like a Samsung S9, which might sound trivial until you realize no BMW has Android Auto until now.

There will be two versions of the Z4 M40i, the one in the photos probably being a regular one with 360 HP, the same as the X3 M40i. A Competition Package will increase the output to 385 HP, also adding better aero and tires.

Like the previous generation, the Z4 will also have 2-liter engines, ranging in output from 197 HP for the sDrive20i to around 300. These will be shared with the Toyota Supra, a sister car derived from the same platform, but offered as a hard-top coupe.
