The second generation Audi Q3 has officially gone on sale this week, after the Germans said they have opened the order books for the SUV.
Promising to bring the best compact SUV interior on the market, the car will sell in its home country starting at 33,700 EUR. For a limited time, Audi will be offering an edition one of the model, one that will be based on the S line.

This version will come with 20-inch wheels, Matrix LED headlights, sports seats, flat-bottomed leather steering wheel, and the ambient lighting. For the exterior, pulse orange (the one shown at the Paris Motor Show in October) and chronos gray paints will be on the table.

For the moment, the SUV will be available with only two engines and front-wheel drive configurations. The two power plants are the 1.5 TFSI, which represents the entry level with 150 hp on tap, and the 2.0-liter diesel that cranks out the same amount of power, but a tad more torque, 340 Nm vs 250 Nm.

As standard, the new Q3 comes equipped with Wi-Fi hotspot and Audi connect services, a navigation system, adaptive cruise assist and lane assist. A new operating and display concept that comes with a digital instrument cluster will be offered on all models in the new Q3 range.

There is no information yet on the timing for the market launch in the U.S., but rumor is model will cross the Atlantic possibly by the middle of next year.

The new Audi Q3 is being manufactured at the Gyor facility in Hungary, where it rolls of assembly lines alongside the A3 Sedan and Cabriolet, and the Audi TT Coupe and Roadster.

Since its introduction in 2011, the Q3 has sold in excess of 70,000 units each year, with the best performance being recorded in 2016, when over 90,000 SUVs were sold.
