Yamaha has revealed the new 2018 X-MAX 125, which will soon join the highly successful X-MAX 300 and X-MAX 400 to complete the latest X-MAX lineup.
The new entry-level 125 offers urban and suburban commuters a stylish, convenient, and economical way of beating city traffic. Moreover, since it can be ridden with an A1 license, the model is the most accessible entry to the sport scooter world.

For 2018, the X-MAX 125 adopts an even more dynamic design that has been directly inspired by the latest generation 300 and 400 models. Sporty dual LED headlights and LED position lights underline the modern MAX family look, complemented by LED taillights and guide lights.

At the heart of the scooter lies a single cylinder liquid-cooled SOHC 125cc 4-stroke engine that is EU4 compliant and assures adequate acceleration away from traffic lights and a solid cruising speed on the highway.

The transmission is a fully automatic V-belt unit offering smooth acceleration, quiet operation, and increased fuel consumption. To top it off, the X-MAX 125 also comes with traction control as standard to keep you safe on cold rainy days or dirty roads.

The front uses a lightweight 15-inch rim paired with a standard fork while the rear is fitted with a smaller wheel and dual shock absorbers. Stopping power is provided by single discs front and back with standard ABS.

Practicality and convenience are offered by an adjustable windshield and a set of handlebars that can be placed in two positions. The modern dashboard comes with a car-like LCD for multi-information purposes, and there’s even a 12V outlet in the front left storage space to charge up your devices while on the move.

Storage wise, the X-MAX 125 offers one of the largest underseat caverns in the segment being able to swallow two full-face helmets or any groceries you need to take home. If it’s not enough, you can extend that via a genuine accessory top box designed to match the scooter’s style and color.

The new runabout will be available starting this October and will come in four colors - Radical Red, Sonic Gray, Phantom Blue, and Blazing Gray.
