So yes, we're dealing with a mere rendering here, but the pixel play is worthy of our undivided attention and it all has to do with its birth process.
Now, as those of you who go to bed at night thinking about the Neunelfer know, one of the reasons for which 2018 911 GT3 Touring Package came to life was that Porsche aimed to fight speculators who had driven the price of the 911 R close to $1 million.
And with its wingless engine cover concealing a 500 hp naturally aspirated motor, its six-speed manual and its under-belly diffuser, the TP does serve as a 911 R for the masses.
Well, the immaginary 911 GT3 Carbon Package we have here is the result of Porschephilles willing to play with the Neunelfer parts bin in the same way as the carmaker does.
You see, the only major area where the 991.2 GT3 Touring Package falls being the 911 R has to do with the scale footprint. But the roles are reversed when it comes to the rendered model being compared to the limited edition car.
That's because the GT3 Touring Package we have here features multiple carbon bits. The thing borrows the 911 GT2 RS Weissach Package frunk cover and roof, along with the Rennsport model's front wings. As for the wheels, these are even lighter than the ones used by the GT2 RS, since we're looking at the carbon units of the 911 Turbo S Exclusive.
Given the diet mentioned above, the Instagram label behind the image we have here didn't bother bringing back the rear seats (these were rumored to return with the Touring Package, but didn't), so the cabin is still adorned with a rollcage.
