With the Nurburgring manufacturer test vehicle population density having grown considerably over the past decade or so, light-hearted prototype... clashes are simply inevitable these days.
And no, the upcoming W213-generation Mercedes-AMG E63 isn't the only prototype whose horsepower stature puts it in a dominant position. The same happened with the 2018 Lamborghini Huracan Superleggera earlier this week, when the supercar had to get past two (or more) Mercedes-Benz prototype).

And since most, if not all, Green Hell bends require patience for overtaking, the Lambo got stuck between two Mercs for a few moments. The final part of the footage at the bottom of the page allows us to see the Raging Bull prototype barely containing its V10 energy while behind an S-Class Cabriolet test car.

This is the Industry Pool, so don't expect Touristenfahrten (Tourist Days) rules such as the no-passing-on-the-right to stay in place - while the Huracan driver was expecting the engineer in the S-Class to move over to the right (check out the corner exit of the supercar), the second remained on the left side of the track, while also using his left turn signal. The latter move was enough for the Sant'Agata Bolognese engineer to make a swift pass, as if coming from the racing world.

After all, we are talking about a mid-engined contraption that's currently approaching the end of its Nurburgring testing, with the Huracan Superleggera dropping astoundingly fast laps.

In fact, the big question regarding the Ring performance of the spiced-up Huracan has to do with how close the two-seater can get to the 7-minute mark (the Aventador SV sits just under it, remember?).

The Superleggera badge should mix an output bump (expect 650 hp at best) and a weight reduction (220 lbs or 100 kg) with an extremely aggressive overall setup. And it's enough to listen to the naturally aspirated war cry of this prototype to understand how much joy we'll experience next year when the supercar is released.
