If you're excited about the launch of the next-gen Jeep Wrangler, then we're glad to tell we bring good news. It would appear the new version of everyone's favorite Jeep might enter production sooner than anticipated, coming as early as this October.
The information comes courtesy of JLWranglerForums, and all the previous bits they leaked have turned out to be true. However, the timeline shows production start for the new Jeep is scheduled for 11.13.2017, and it only applies to the JLU (the four-door model) with the entry-level 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 gasoline engine and the six-speed manual transmission.

Still, we didn't lie when we mentioned October as a possible month for production debut. There's a footnote in the leaked picture saying that "FCA is looking to possibly pull forward the 11/13/17 Job 1 launch date ahead by two weeks to 10/30/17. Feasibility is still being determined."

So let's pray that the feasibility turns out OK and everyone who's looking forward to buying a new Wrangler can get their vehicle sooner. Whether the date moves forward or remains in November will have no impact on the SUV's official public launch, though. That one is set in stone: November 27, 2017, at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Reading through the rest of the planned dates, we find out a bit more interesting information. For instance, the soft-top four-door versions will debut mid-December, while the first models with the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine will have to wait until early next year.

The first two-door JLs will roll off the production line in February 2018 but only as hardtops - the soft top will come a month later. March will also mark the end of production for the old JK models, even though they were initially supposed to run side by side for a year. Those on a budget will have reasons to celebrate: JLWrangerForums says a "heavily discounted" sticker price for the older generation can be expected.

Right-hand-drive markets will have to wait until June 11 for their first JLs to come, but that's still less time than those who like their Wranglers burning oil. The new 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel will make its debut next August.

It looks like a busy year ahead for the new Wrangler with something new coming almost every month. And let's not forget about the Scrambler pickup truck arriving in 2019. These are good times to be a Wrangler fan.
