2018 Ford Mustang GT Drag Races Dodge Charger R/T, Goes All Casual

We'll start by mentioning that those of you who are tuned into our hooning tales are probably familiar with this 'Stang. And that's because we're talking about a machine nicknamed Black Mamba.

This GT has engaged in multiple drag racing adventures, be they on the street or at the drag strip. So, why is its owner so eager to race? The answer is simple: the man has built on the potential of the beast, turning to the aftermarket realm.

Sure, the Coyote motor of the thing has remained atmospheric, but the 5.0-liter V8 now packs an E85 setup, with the list of custom goodies also including the intake, exhaust and, obviously, the ECU.

The machine packs the said ten-speed automatic and while its wheels might be stock, the rear tires are the same Nitto units found on the Dodge Demon.

Oh, and there's one more thing - the interior has been partially stripped, all in a bid to make the thing quicker.

This time around, the Mustang gets in the most casual drag race there is, going for a quick battle around town. The machine duked it out with a Dodge Charger R/T. Of course, this means that the Mopar sedan is animated by a 5.7-liter HEMI packing 370 hp, so the battle isn't exactly fair.

Then again, the two muscle machines duked it out on two separate occasions, delivering respectable giggles, so we won't complain.

For the record, the one behind the wheel is not the owner of the car, with the driver actually owning a Dodge Demon.
