Judging by contemporary supecar exclusivity standards, a machine can never be too special, with one-offs obviously being the exception to this unspoken rule. So, even though Ford is initially releasing as little as 250 units of the 2017/2018 GT, certain owners out there would still like their cars to stand out more than others.
And this is where the superca spec game comes into play. Let's take the GT we have here, for instance. We've come across this incarnation of the Blue Oval halo car on Instagram and, if we are to believe the social media labels, the FGT is covered in Verde Mantis.
Now, as Lamborghini fans will gladly point out, that hue is reserved for Sant'Agata Bolognese machines, but it wouldn't be the first time when we get to see such a cross-brand hue stunt.
Truth be told, if we judge by what we can see in this photo (we don't have any other media of the supercar), we could agree with the shade-related detail mentioned above.
Of course, such a mix also has an ironical side. And that's because the second generation of the Ford GT has been surrounded by controversy, since the carmaker has left the V8 path behind in order to come up with a twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 heart for its monster.
At the same time, Lamborghini is currently the only major name on the supercar scene that remains entirely committed to natural aspiration, with its stable being populated by the 6.5-liter V12 heart of the Aventador and the 5.2-liter mill occupying the middle section of the Huracan.
Oh well, the GT is the car that put Ford on the Ferrari-battling map, so why wouldn't the beast be placed into the same sentence with Lamborghini?
Raging Bull shade or not, once this Ford GT hits the streets, the combination between its aero-dictated styling and its color will turn the beast into one hell of an attention magnet.
