What initially started as an owner’s diary, as Mr. Nyland has had a PD85 Model S since November 2013, became a channel with over 23,000 subscribers.

So, Bjørn, a full-time programmer at the University of Oslo, decided to make a video of the new Tesla Model S facelift and show the differences between the car he owns and the new model.

While this clip does not bring meaningful revelations when compared to existing news stories, it does show how a Tesla Model S owner sees the facelift of the car he owns.

As you probably already know, the facelift brought LED adaptive headlights, a HEPA filter for the air-conditioning system, a forward radar hidden under the “T” in the front grille, and a new center console.

Modifications were also done to the styling of the Model S, which was slightly redesigned to look more like the Model X.

However, these are not the only changes applied to the Model S through the facelift. First of all, the front grille has been modified, and it does not have an air inlet inside, just like the Model X. Instead, the grille hides the front radar, used by several systems, including the AutoPilot.

Furthermore, the door cards do not have any pockets, and the seatbelts do not seem to be adjustable, as they used to be on the previous version. The windshield wiper nozzles are not included in the wiper arms like the Model X, but they appear to be improved when compared to the earlier Model S.

The rear part of the side skirts is not black anymore, while the facelift has changed this to the body color. At the rear, Tesla has eliminated the metallic air diffuser and replaced it with a plastic unit.

The YouTube user appears to like the changes when compared to the model he owns, a ’13 Model S P85. Feel free to follow him for more updates on the Model S P85 ownership experience in Norway.
