2017 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Rendered, Matches Spied Shooting Brake

We have to admit we're surprised. Our astonishment is not connected to the rendering above, as we're dealing with a properly manipulated image, but with its rather late arrival.

Yes, we know we're a bit spoiled, but the internet has accustomed us to delivering the wildest rendering within, say, 48 hours of a new car being released.

On a more serious note, the pixel rearrangement we have here, which comes from X-Tomi, seems to be on the sharp side. The render mixes the silhouette of the Panamera Sport Turismo Concept, which Zuffenhausen introduced in 2012, with the design details of the 2017 Panamera, which we met on June 28.

For one thing, the rendering seems to match the shooting brake we've shown you in the spyshots. Porsche has confirmed the second incarnation of a Panamera will spawn various derivatives and the family-oriented model is on its way.

Aside from the obvious exterior changes, which, in our book, make for an awesome makeover, the greatest transformation will probably be found in the rear passenger area. This is where the Porsche Panamera's current setup, which involves a pair of individual seats and a center console, will make room for three seats. And with the new Panamera being larger than its predecessor in all dimensions, wheelbase included, cabin space should be an asset.

As for the go-fast part of the adventur we have heree, you can be sure the shooting brake model will pack all the hooning potential expected from a machine bearing the Porsche crest. After all, the 2017 Panamera Turbo did deliver a 7:38 Nurburgring lap time, thus setting a new world record, so the good genes are all there.

The Panamera "Wagon" should land by the end of the next year, so, if you're in the market for one of these Zuffenhausen machines, you'd better start saving.
