2017 Porsche 911 R Donuts Are The Best Donuts

At last, our 2017 Porsche 911 R hooning album is now complete! We had shown you the stick shift special proving its official top speed on the German Autobahn, as well as performing a burnout, one with the foot on the brake, but we didn't have any donuts to give you.
Well, that has now changed, as the piece of footage at the bottom of the page brings us some ultra-smokey sideways hooning. The adventure comes from the past weekend's Goodwood Festival of Speed, so, as the British event has accustomed us, the throttle was welded to the floor.

While many of the FoS moments we showed you came from the infamous 1.12-mile Hillclimb course, the shenanigan here comes from the stretch of asphalt that saw the supercars turning - we must thank Luke Gilbertson Photography for the video.

And while we can't be 100 percent sure due to the nature of the clip, the driver thrashing the living hell out of the 1-of-991 Neunelfer is probably Andreas Preuninger, the man who helms Porsche's GT division.

With or without the driver mentioned above, seeing such an exclusive 911 being used for tire-melting purposes is quite a rare occasion. Think about it - a part of these cars will inevitably end up being treated as garage queens, so while we're all enjoying the fact that Porsche added a third pedal, this will never get to be worn out like it should.

Speaking of Andreas Preuninger and the 911 R, June was the month when customer deliveries kicked off and, as you can imagine, the GT arm's boss has already received his example of the 500 hp machine.

The rear-engined delight comes with an uber-retro color scheme, as the main ingredient is the British Racing Green covering most of the car's body.

Here's to hoping the 911 R's manual gearbox influence, which, for instance, will see the upcoming 991.2 GT3 borrowing the six-speed transmission, will also bring us other stock shift Porsche specials.
